Abstract : "A Constitution, or form of government, agreed to and resolved upon by the Delegates and Representatives of the several Counties and Corporations of Virginia." The Constitution was introduced on 24 June 1776, amended on 28 June 1776, and adopted by the Convention on 29 June 1776. Unlike the drafts of the Constitution written in the hand of Thomas Jefferson, this version was copied by Jacob Bruce, Assistant Clerk. Includes copy of amendments.
